Hi! 🙂 – My name is Marco A. Hudelist and I’m a software engineer and computer scientist. I’m currently employed at Fraunhofer Austria Research GmbH / Fraunhofer Innovationcenter for Digitization and Artificial Intelligence located in the Lakeside Park in Klagenfurt/Carinthia as project lead and researcher. Furthermore, I also work at Axandu GmbH as software engineer. Before that I’ve been working as a business analyst, ui designer and developer in the industry (priorIT EDV-Dienstleistungs GmbH) and before even that I’ve been working four years as a research assistant and post-doc at the Alpen-Adria Universität Klagenfurt / Institute of Information Technology (ITEC). There, I have graduated as PhD in Computer Science at Klagenfurt University.

My current focuses are Large Language Models (LLM), with a special focus on Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), process analysis for identifying optimization potential through digitization and AI, as well as .NET development (web and mobile). I’m also interested in enabling Digital Sovereignty through the means of Europe-based and open source software.

In the past I also focused on architecting large-scale managment software for collecting societies in Austria, Germany and Switzerland and during my PhD I worked on improving retrieval in large media collections (images and videos) on mobile devices through the means of 3D interfaces and information extraction.Â
